Using image recognition to play classic games and solve puzzles.
Description of the thesis proposal:
By using image recognition software, it is possible to have a computer play certain board- and card games games with you, and even solve puzzles. Take, for instance, the classic game connect-four.
Using a camera and image recognition software, a computer could observe the board and come up with the best move.
For a greater challenge, a computer could learn to play the classic card game UNO, using image recognition to identify the color and value of the top card and make the optimal play.
- UNO (Card Game): Identify color and number of a placed card and compare to your hand
- Four-in-a-Row: Identify the board and decide the optimal move
These are just some examples, if the student has other suggestions, we are flexible in the scope of this project.
